Table update! Travis e-mailed to say that it’s been so humid that he doesn’t feel comfortable putting polyurethane on until the air dries out a little. Assuming the weather cools down like it’s supposed to, we should still have the table before my parents get here this weekend. These are the kind of awesome, welcome delays you get with hand-craftsmanship that just aren’t an issue with Ikea!

I finished the entry floor on Sunday morning, so we’ll be able to make the new table feel right at home. We’d like a piece of locally-made pottery to put on top, but well-made, attractive, locally-produced pottery is sooo expensive. The Wisconsin Art Pottery Show is happening the same weekend we’re in Madison, so maybe we’ll find something there. Or maybe there’s someone reading who makes pottery that we could hire? Comment or e-mail me a price for something like this!
